Intermediate Centers
South Bend Community School Corporation has ten intermediate centers serving students in grades five through eight. The intermediate center's are designed to serve as a bridge between the primary centers (K-4) and the high schools.
Program Description
The intermediate center program is designed to meet the academic, social, emotional and physical needs of fifth through eighth grade students, generally children aged ten through fourteen. By providing a continuous four year instructional program, students will be able to transition from a self-contained classroom organization in grades 5 and 6 to a departmentalized subject organization in grades 7 and 8.
